Passport Appointment at DFA Calasiao - How and Where

Setting an appointment on obtaining the highly coveted (pun intended) Philippine passport is indeed a Hunger Games-kind of slot-searching. But the good news is, the passports issued starting this year is now valid for a decade! How awesome it is?

But well, how to get on hand with these passports? Let's have a quick overview:

1. Secure an appointment on the DFA Passport Appointment website.

2. Make sure that all of the requirements are all complete before going to your appointment.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Personal appearance
  • Confirmed appointment
  • Duly accomplished application form – may be downloaded from the DFA websitewww.dfa.gov.ph
  • Most recent expiring or expired passport
  • Acceptable IDs at least one (1): for Brown, Green and MRP (without IC Chip logo). 
  • Other Supporting Document as necessary

3. Head to the consular office 30 minutes ahead of your schedule.



The DFA Regional Consular Office in Calasiao, Pangasinan is located at the second floor of Robinsons Place Pangasinan.

Public Transportation:


  • From Western Pangasinan : Ride a bus heading to Dagupan (Mhel Bhen, Victory Liner, Bolinao Express etc.) and alight at Caltex gasoline station, head to Guilig St. and jaunt a Sta. Barbara-bound jeepney. Alight at your destination.
  • From Eastern Pangasinan, nearby provinces or Metro Manila : Alight a bus heading to Dagupan (Five Star, Victory Liner, Solid North and the like) and tell the conductor to you will get off on Robinsons Place Pangasinan.

Private Vehicle:
  • Follow Waze or Google Maps.

4. Approach a security personnel about the queue and they will guide you when to sit and wait for your queue number.


There will be three processing stages,(1) the verification stage where they will get all your requirements for further processing, (2) payment stage is where you will pay the necessary fees and (3) data capture stage is where your personal information will be encoded as well as your photo and biometrics.



5. Pay the necessary passport fees at the counter as per below:

6. Sit back and relax while you wait for your brand new passport. 

If you prefer to pick up your new passport, go the consular office on the releasing date as indicated on your receipt, else if you would like to ship it on your residence, you can approach the courier desk (LBC) after your data capture stage at a certain charge. (PhP 150, 2-3 days)

And ta-da! Here comes your shiny new passport! Please do note that starting early 2018, they are issuing passports with 10-year validity, so meaning a decade of more travels!
