Suhoor at Argan - A Taste of Maghreb in Doha

I always have a fascination on Morocco, a melting pot of Middle Eastern and European culture. First knew Marrakesh on America's Next Top Model cycle 16's overseas photo shoot and the rest was history they say, it was indeed one on the top of my destination bucketlist. The sights and sounds of the city makes me jump to the first flight to Marrakesh or Casablanca and smell the unique aroma of the North African kingdom. Speaking of aroma, Maghreb cuisines also shares a lot of cultural traditions all throughout of the region, and it sparked my interest to try these dishes due to curiosity, especially their distinct way of cooking.

I had the chance to experience the award-winning cuisines and legendary hospitality of one of the leading North African-style diner in town, Argan Moroccan Restaurant, courtesy of Qatar's premier information guide, Marhaba Qatar.

Final verdict

Aesthetically-wise, their interior aesthetics from the entry way down to the table was unparalleled. The Arabic lanterns above the pool at the entrance has that alluring effect on me, t'was an eye-catching fascination, same as the majlis that indeed completes the Arabian atmosphere.

Gastronomically-wise, as a Maghreb cuisine first-timer, I had a lot of inhibitions. But due to my curiosity, I tried to taste even a piece of every dish and mind you, I wasn't disappointed for real. It was like an upgraded version of Arabian dishes that that I've tried.

Customer relationship-wise, it was impeccable in the sense that you can feel that warm hospitality from the time you've entered and until you left the facility. Truly their accolades speak for themselves.
